How to use PayPal Payments Button

With the PayPal Payments Button app, accepting payments on your Wix site is fast, secure, and simple. This guide will walk you through every step, from creating your PayPal Business account to embedding your unique payment link into the app.


To use the PayPal Payments Button, you must have a verified PayPal Business account.

➤ If you don't have one:

  1. Visit PayPal Business Signup.

  2. Choose Business Account and fill in your:

    • Business type (Sole Proprietorship, Company, etc.)

    • Contact info and business address

    • Email address and password

Important:

Verify your business account.

PayPal may ask you to:

  • Confirm your email

  • Link and verify your bank account

  • Submit identification or business documents
    Verification is essential to:

    • Receive payments without restrictions

    • Enable a professional experience for your buyers

    • Avoid delays, holds, or account limitations

If your account is not verified, payment processing might be interrupted or disabled.


  1. Log in to paypal.com with your business credentials.

  2. You’ll land on the PayPal Home dashboard.

  3. Find the Quick Links panel — usually in the middle or right-hand side.


  1. From the Quick Links section, select “Pay Links & Buttons.”

  2. If you don’t see this link, go to:
    Tools → All Tools → Pay Links & Buttons

This section lets you create or manage various payment buttons and links.


  1. To make a new button, click “Create Payment Button.”

  2. Enter the product name, price, and other optional details (like quantity or custom message).

  3. If you already have buttons, you can go to “Saved Links & Buttons” to select one.


  1. Once your button is created, scroll down to find the Product Link or Direct Link section.

  2. Copy the generated payment link, which should look like this:
    https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/XXXXXXX

This is the direct URL your customers will click to pay.


  1. In your Wix Editor or Wix Studio, open the PayPal Payments Button app connector panel.

  2. Find the field labeled “PayPal Pay Now Button URL.”

  3. Paste the payment link you copied in Step 5.


  1. After pasting your link, click the “Connect” button.

  2. Your Pay Now button is now live and ready to accept payments!

Visitors clicking your button will be taken directly to the PayPal checkout page for your selected product or service.


  • Double-check that your link starts with https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/

  • You can create separate buttons/links for different products or services.

  • Use PayPal’s built-in analytics to track your payment activity.
