How to use the Weather Widget

Search for the Weather Widget app in the Wix App Market and install it on your site. Once installed, open your site editor, find the app in your Elements menu, and drag and drop it onto your page.

Click directly on the widget inside your editor and select the Weather Widget Settings button. This opens the settings panel on the side of your screen.

In the settings panel, start by configuring the basics:

  • Template: Click the Template dropdown to choose from clean, pre-designed layouts (such as Template 1, Template 2, etc.) to find the format that fits your site best.

  • Temperature Scale: Choose whether to display the temperature in Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F).

  • Location: Scroll down to the search fields to type in your Enter City (e.g., Texas or London), Enter Region, and Enter Country.

Scroll further down to customize the weather logic:

  • Weather Type: Select Current Weather to show today's live conditions, or select Forecast Weather to show upcoming trends.

  • Date Type: If displaying a forecast, choose between a Single Date or a Date Range.

  • Forecast Range (Days): Use the slider to determine how many days ahead the forecast covers (e.g., up to 6 days). Click the blue Save button below this block to lock in your settings.

Under the Element Visibility Control section, use the toggle switches to turn specific weather details on or off based on how clean or detailed you want the widget to look:

  • Show Weather Condition Image

  • Show Weather Condition Name

  • Show Temperature

  • Show Wind Speed

  • Show Humidity

To make the widget match your website's branding, close the main settings panel and click the Change Design button floating above the widget.

  • Select a preset theme from the Themed Boxes options, or click Customize Design.

  • Use the styling tools to fine-tune the Fill color & opacity, Border, Corners (radius), and add a Shadow effect.

Once your weather widget looks perfectly integrated into your layout, click the Save button in the top right corner of the Wix editor, and then click Publish to make it live for your visitors.
