How to use Word Cloud

Search for the Word Cloud app in the Wix App Market. Click the blue Add to Site button, and agree to the permissions to install the app.

Once installed, open your site editor. Click the Add Elements (+) button on the left sidebar, navigate down to the Apps or Widgets section, and drag the Word Cloud widget onto your desired section on the page

Click directly on the Word Cloud widget you have placed on your page. Click the Settings button that appears above it to open the configuration panel on the right side of the screen.

In the settings panel, under the Content tab, you can manage the text that forms your cloud:

  • Toggle the Show Title switch on or off, and enter a custom Title (like "test") for your widget.

  • In the Paragraph Text box, paste the words or the paragraph of text you want the app to generate the cloud from.

  • Toggle Show Repeated Words if you want duplicate words to appear separately instead of being grouped together.

  • Use the Stop Words box to enter comma-separated words (like "the, and, of") that you want to specifically exclude from the visual cloud.

Scroll down to the General Settings section to customize how the text looks:

  • Toggle Show Solid Color on to pick a single uniform color (using a HEX code or the color picker) for all words, or leave it off for a multi-colored layout.

  • Choose your preferred Font Family, Font Style, and Font Weight (like Bold) from the dropdown menus.

  • Toggle Enable Tooltip to show the frequency of a specific word when a site visitor hovers over it.

  • Toggle Deterministic Layout if you want the exact same arrangement of words to render every single time the page loads.

At the bottom of the settings panel, you can fine-tune the size and shape of your cloud:

  • Under the Font Size Range section, adjust the Min Font Size and Max Font Size inputs to control the size difference between the most and least frequently used words.

  • Under the Layout & Behavior section, you can set the animation Transition Duration and limit the total number of items shown using the Max Words input.

  • Choose the mathematical structure of the cloud using the Scale dropdown (e.g., Logarithmic) and the Spiral Pattern dropdown (e.g., Archimedean).

When you are happy with how your customized word cloud looks, click the Save button in the top right corner of your Wix editor, and then click Publish to make it live for your visitors!
