1. Install the App.
Navigate to the Wix App Market and search for the Promotion Countdown Timer app by MarketPushApps.
Click the blue Add to Site button to begin the installation.
Review the permissions and click Agree & Add to finalize the installation.
2. Place the Widget and Set the Date
Once the app is added, the widget will typically appear in your Wix Editor so you can position it on your page. If the widget does not automatically appear, click the Add Elements (+) button on the left sidebar, scroll down to the App Widgets category, and drag the Promotion Countdown Timer directly onto your desired section.
Click directly on the widget to open the Sales Countdown Timer Settings panel.
Under the settings, locate the Counting toward date field and use the calendar tool to input your exact target end date and time.
Use the toggle switches below the date to choose whether your timer will Show Days, Show Hours, Show Minutes, and Show Seconds.
In the settings panel, open the Design section to change the look of your timer.
Use the Category dropdown menu to select a theme that matches your current promotion, with options like Sales, Black Friday, Valentine's Day, Halloween, and Christmas.
After selecting a category, choose a specific layout from the Templates dropdown.
You can also click the widget's background in the editor and select Change Image to upload a custom background picture.
Click directly on any text element within the widget (such as the main heading) and click Edit Text to type your own promotional message.
To define what happens when the timer reaches zero, click the Edit Ended State button in the settings panel.
Customize the "Ended State" text (e.g., changing it to "THANK YOU FOR JOINING US. CATCH YOU NEXT TIME!").
In the settings panel, scroll to the Coupon Code section.
Type your specific discount code into the Add your coupon text box (e.g., "test"), so it is ready for your customers to use.
Once your countdown timer is fully configured, click the Save button in the top right corner of the Wix editor.
Finally, click the blue Publish button to make the timer live for your site visitors.
