Once installed, open your site editor. Click the Add Elements (+) button on the left sidebar, navigate down to the Apps or Widgets section, and drag the SoundCloud App widget onto your page.
Open a new browser tab and navigate to the public SoundCloud track or playlist you want to feature. Click the Share button directly below the track's waveform or cover art. In the pop-up window, copy the provided short link.
Go back to your Wix site editor. Click directly on the SoundCloud widget you placed on your page, and select the Settings button.
In the settings panel, paste your copied link into the SoundCloud URL input field. The widget will automatically detect the track or playlist and update the audio player on your page.
In the settings panel, click the Player Style tab (the music note icon). Here you can choose how the player looks:
1-Visual Player: Displays the track's full cover art prominently.
2-Compact Player: A sleeker, smaller player that focuses primarily on the playback controls.
Next, click the Behavior tab (the gear icon) to control how the audio functions:
1-Autoplay: Toggle this on if you want the audio to start playing automatically when a visitor loads the page. (Note: Browsers often block AutoPay until a user interacts with the page).
2-Single Active Player: If you have multiple players on your site, leave this toggled on so that when one player starts, any others automatically pause.
3-Hide on mobile: Toggle this to hide the player specifically for users browsing on phones.
Finally, click the Layout tab to adjust the physical appearance of the widget border:
1-Change the Corner Radius to make the edges sharp, rounded, or pill-shaped.
2-Adjust the Padding to change the spacing around the player.
Click the Design tab (the paintbrush icon) to change the player's visual theme. Here you can use the color picker or enter a specific HEX code to change the primary play button and track accents so they perfectly match your website's branding.
When your widget is positioned and sounding great, click the Save button in the top right corner of the Wix editor, and then click Publish to make your audio live!
